This course is an overview of human body-capture methodologies. It begins with a summary of the biophysics that create variability in appearance of the eye, ear, skin, mouth, and hair among individuals. Instructors then present state-of-the-art methods used to create more accurate models by incorporating techniques from biomedical imaging, which use physical measurement to produce visually accurate human anatomy. The course concludes with an exploration of health applications of image acquisition and modeling.
